A few weeks ago, we welcomed Philipp as an intern. Here is his blog post.
For a week, I got to take a look behind the scenes at FPV24.com and experience firsthand how an online store for FPV drones and accessories operates behind the scenes. Right on the first day, I was welcomed by the team and given a tour of the warehouse before diving straight into the various tasks.
Over the course of the week, I gained insights into many different areas:
- Warehouse & Logistics: Picking products for shipment and sorting them according to the respective orders.
- Repair & Technical: Assembling a functional set from several returned FPV RTF kits, while learning a lot about troubleshooting and assembling FPV drones.
- 3D Design & Printing: Designing a mount for a test setup to inspect broken electronics, 3D printing it, and later designing a suitable box for it.
- Content Production: Help write a script for a YouTube video and then assist with filming the video.
- Office & Product Management: Observing how new products are imported into the store, researching potential new products for the lineup on my own, and helping to stock newly delivered merchandise.
What I remember most is my time in the warehouse. The tour on the first day showed me just how many products are moved here every day, and while sorting orders, I quickly realized how much organization and care goes into it.
After this week, I can say: My internship at FPV24 was incredibly varied. I not only saw how an FPV online store operates on a day-to-day basis, but I also pitched in myself—from warehouse logistics and technical repairs to design and video production.
